Forget Black Friday, some stores are planning to open on Thanksgiving, but not everyone agrees with that.
Menards say they're standing by their family values and don't want to start the shopping season the day families sit down for their annual turkey dinner.
"It's actually very exciting to know that you're going to be fully set up for the holiday rush Wednesday night, get to spend all Thursday with your family, come in rejuvenated and kind of ready for the big typical 6am opening," says North Lincoln Menards Manager, Bill Busch.
Thanksgiving falls later in the year this year, leaving less time for shopping between the holidays.
We did reach out to stores that are opening on Thanksgiving Day.
Some gave us statements saying they just want to give their customers more options.
