Menards is teaming up with the U.S. Marine Corps to donate gifts to Toys for Tots.

Customers have purchased about 1,300 children's gifts over the last few weeks. They'll be distributed to various agencies in Lincoln and Omaha by marines.

"It's actually one of the better things I've done in the Marine Corps," Clayton Burns of the U.S. Marine Corps said. "Just being able to see the joy in some of these children."

"If you can help make a little boy or little girl's Christmas, it's pretty special," Bill Busch, the general manager of North Menards, said.

Menards said this is annual event. The gifts will be distributed starting next week.
