Dozens filled the lobby of the Pershing Center Sunday, eagerly waiting for the doors to open. And when they did, it was total holiday mayhem.

Kids of all ages were invited to celebrate the 106th annual Elks Christmas Party.

It was almost a scene out of "Willy Wonka and The Chocolate Factory," each child got a candy bar, which would tell them if they won a present.

And then, early Christmas morning.

Mr. Potato heads, Barbie dolls, puzzles, legos, and toy cars were just a few of the gifts kids received.

For Elks President Larry Schwindt, the best part of hosting the Christmas party every year is the joyful reactions he sees from thankful kids.

"The best part for me is the kids. I take away from each one of these something special, maybe one or two kids who just really stand out," he says.

In addition to getting some free gifts, kids and their families also enjoyed free entertainment.

And with all the festivities, the holiday hype has never been greater.
