NORTH PLATTE, Neb. (AP) A teen accused of stabbing two women at the Nebraska Youth Center in North Platte has been deemed competent to stand trial.
Keenan Lambert, of Miller, appeared in Lincoln County District Court on Monday and was found competent based on a psychological evaluation.
Lambert pleaded not guilty to two charges of attempted first-degree murder and one count each of escape, theft and use of a deadly weapon.
His trial has been set for March 11.
Police say Lambert is one of two teens accused of stabbing the workers in July and then fleeing in one of the employees' vehicles. The workers were hospitalized and have recovered.
