The parking lot at Gateway Mall was full and the inside was packed Christmas Eve with shoppers trying to find the perfect gifts before time ran out.
People had many different reasons for putting off their holiday shopping.
Some said they've been busy with work leading up to Christmas Eve. They said they needed to shop for everyone on their list.
Other said they've been shopping for days, but haven't been able to finish yet.
And some people said they're done, but are just tagging along with friends who still need a few last minute items.
"I'm going to get as many people as possible," Merika Andrade said.
"When you have three kids and a lot of family to buy for, it takes a while to figure out what everyone wants," Ben Lieber added.
"We just come out the last day of shopping and get some good deals," Curt Kreifles said.
For those who wanted to avoid the shopping chaos, the mall also served as a meeting place for family members and friends to catch up before their festivities tonight.
The mall was open until 6 p.m. It'll be closed Christmas day and will reopen 9 a.m. Thursday.
