It was a scary night for one Lincoln woman. Police say she was robbed at gunpoint in her own driveway.

It happened near 65th and Aylesworth around 10:45 Sunday night.

Police say a 33-year-old woman was removing items from her car when a man carrying a handgun approached her.

They say he pointed the gun to her head and led her into her house. Police say she gave him her purse and called for her husband. The man quickly got away.

Police say this is the second robbery in the last week involving a woman at her vehicle.

"Always be aware of your surroundings, if possible have someone go with you when you're going out to your car, but in this case and in the other one both women complied with the suspects demands and that's the best thing to do to avoid getting hurt," Officer Katie Flood said.

Police say this suspect is described as a dark-skinned, possibly Hispanic male, 5-foot-8 and average build.
