UPDATE: Student hit by car on way to school

A reminder to drivers: Be careful around school zones, especially, when bad weather hits.

Lincoln police say a car hit a 15–year–old boy this morning just before 8 a.m. while the he was walking to school.

It happened outside Southeast High School on 37th and Van Dorn. Police say the student was taken to the nurses office to be checked out.  He returned to class.
