Troy Fischer, who's assault on a Startran bus passenger was caught on video, was sentenced Thursday morning in Lancaster County Court. Fischer was given 12 months probation and 100 hours of community service. Fischer, who now resides in Hawaii, was ordered to perform his community service at a homeless shelter there.
Fischer pled guilty to 3rd Degree Assault in July. The assault took place in March. It was caught on the bus's video surveillance camera. It shows Fischer becoming agitated by a passenger asking questions, and then punching the passenger repeatedly before dragging him off the bus.
