Bob Fuson is a regular at the Best Buy near 48th and R.

"I like to come and browse, I mean I come here even if I'm not planning on buying anything," he said.

Starting next week his routine will change. Best Buy will have a new home near 70th and O.

"I honestly didn't even know it was moving," Fuson said.

It's getting a new look and will carry a fresh selection of electronics.

"The store is going to be a little bit smaller, but in a good way, we're going to be carrying a lot of newer and higher–end appliances," General Manager Haley Walker said.

By next Friday, the empty shelves at the new location will be filled for the grand opening, and the layout will be different.

Color coded areas will represent three stores within Best Buy. Each one will sell either Microsoft, Samsung or Apple products. It's something unique to the Lincoln store.

"Our customers are going to have an overall nicer shopping experience, cleaner, brighter and as technology updates, we need to do so too," Walker said.

Geek Squad is also changing. They're adding a section for self check-in. Customers with damaged electronics can check them in at a computer and not have to worry about waiting in line.

It's an update that Fuson said he's excited to see, though he said he didn't mind shopping at the old location.

"I think it's fine the way it is, I've never had any problems with the store. If it's nicer then I'll probably go more often," Fuson said.

Best Buy's current location will close its doors to the public 8 p.m. Sunday. The new store's grand opening is set for Friday at 10 a.m.
