Lincoln Police are investigating a robbery at a Subway from early Saturday morning.

Police say the suspect entered a Subway near 27th and S Streets just before 8:30 a.m.

They say an employee was opening up the store when the suspect, armed with a black handgun, entered and demanded the employee to open the safe.

Police say the employee said that could not be done, so the suspect took cash from the register, then directed the employee to the back room and told her to lie down.

They say the suspect then took off southbound on foot.

He's described as a black male in his 20s, 5-foot-10 with a slim build. Police say he was wearing baggy clothing, including a dark blue hoodie over a gray hoodie, with a gray sweater underneath covering half his face.

If you have any information, call authorities.
