The Nebraska Department of Roads says they've had crews out since about 9:00 Tuesday morning.
District One, which includes Lincoln and Lancaster county, covers more than 3,500 lane miles with about 100 trucks on the road at a time.
Operations and Maintenance manager Roger Kalkwarf says so far drivers have been fairly safe with only a few accidents in the district.
With the potential for more snow into the evening hours, as well as blowing and drifting, he says plowing efforts will likely continue into Thursday.
