The Capital City hit a high of 55 on Thursday but Old Man Winter can't let go. A wintry mix hit the streets overnight. The storm swept through town quickly. It left behind wet streets and a few icy patches.
The first wave of wintry mix blew through around 12:30 Thursday morning and only lasted for about 20 minutes. A second wave came through and didn't last long either. The wintry mix did leave behind a dusting of snow on streets, showing up a little heavier throughout the neighborhoods. Drivers will run over icy patches especially in neighborhoods.
The morning commute shouldn't be much of a problem. The traffic out so far this morning is moving along just fine.
