More Husker hoops action Wednesday night.

Prior to the game the Huskers had on a five game winning streak.

The streak had to end sometime.

The team fell to the Fighting Illini 49 – 59.

The lose has many fan disappointed but their still hopeful, this is a good sign for the future.

"There hasn't been much to like lately but it seems like we're getting things together with coach Miles so hoping to make something happen here in the next couple years," says Jon McCarty of Lincoln.

Travis Mawrey adds, "Pop that bubble so we can make it into a good tournament this year it'd be good to see Nebraska in there."

Greg Smith was looking for a win Thursday night, "For tonight, I'm just hoping that they can get a close victory on the road.  It's hard to win on the road in conference.  For the rest of the season I'm just hoping they can get to 20 wins so they can make the tournament, go dancing."

The Huskers have two more home games and one on the road.
