Lincoln, Neb. - Lincoln Children's Zoo will participate in Autism Speaks Light It Up Blue by illuminating their iconic "ZOO" sign blue.
"Lincoln Children's Zoo celebrates all children," said Zoo president & CEO, John Chapo. "This autism awareness action by the Zoo is two-fold. First to remind all citizens that autism is something we all should be concerned with, as well as to support families who confront autism on a daily basis."
The sign will be lit up blue starting on April 2. The zoo sign which overlooks Capital Parkway is seen by over 25,000 motorists each day and is illuminated different colors throughout the year to celebrate holidays, community events and more.
