The FFA says it's doing better than ever. There's just one problem, they're short on teachers.

"We have more FFA Programs in the state of Nebraska than ever before. We're adding new members every year and new chapters every year," Steve Nelson, Nebraska Farm Bureau President, said on Thursday.

Right now, about 7,100 students are members of the Future Farmers of America in Nebraska. That's a state record.

Nearly 13,000 students are taking daily agricultural classes.

Because of this, FFA needs more teachers and advisors.

"The most critical issue facing agricultural education and FFA chapters in the state of Nebraska today is a teacher shortage," Matt Kreifels, State Director of Agricultural Education, said.

FFA says there are great opportunities in agriculture. The organization encourages people to make a difference in Nebraska's future.
