The Nebraska Department of Roads announced, weather permitting, I-80 eastbound lanes will be temporarily closed between the 56th Street Interchange, Exit 405, and the Waverly Interchange, Exit 409, Thursday night, April 17, between the hours of 11:00 p.m. and 2:00 a.m., according to the Nebraska Department of Roads. Single lane closures in the eastbound lanes are possible between 9:00 p.m. on April 17 and 6:00 a.m. on April 18.
Eastbound traffic will be detoured south on L-55X, 56th Street, to US-6, Cornhusker Highway, then east on US-6 to the Waverly Interchange, Exit 409.
The lane closures will allow the state's contractor to install a Dynamic Message Sign over the eastbound lanes near the 84th Street Bridge. In case of inclement weather, this work will be postponed and rescheduled.
