The Lancaster County Sheriff's Office is investigating what they're calling a suspicious death.

Sheriff Terry Wagner says the body of a Hallam woman was discovered Friday just before 6:00 p.m.
Officials say 44–year–old Michelle Kover was found unresponsive in her bedroom at her home near SW 58th and W Sprague Rd.

"She was found in her home after her children and her friend who had picked the children up from school had gotten home," Sheriff Wagner said.

Sheriff Wagner says Kover was declared dead at the scene. Investigators are working to determine the cause of her death which they are calling suspicious.

"At this point, we do not believe her death to be natural."

The Sheriff says they've also ruled out suicide. An autopsy was performed Saturday and officials are still waiting for the results and the toxicology report.

The Sheriff's office continues to investigate.
