BELLEVUE, Neb. (AP) _ Authorities are investigating an officer-involved shooting that killed a 48-year-old Bellevue man.

Police confirm that John Tilley was killed in the shooting that occurred early Saturday.

Investigators say police were called around midnight Friday to investigate a noise complaint. Police say officers found Tilley and warned him to keep the noise down. But a short time later, officers say they spotted Tilley driving recklessly, running through residential fences and into cars.

Police say Tilley rammed three police cars before officers opened fire, killing Tilley. One officer injured in the incident was taken to a hospital, treated and released. Police have not released the names of the officers involved.

The officers have been placed on administrative leave, per department procedure pending an investigation into the incident.
