Authorities have blocked off the town of Coleridge due to tornado damage.
This picture shows a tornado that touched down in Cedar County near Coleridge around 8:30 p.m. Tuesday.
Channel 8 has reports of damage to over a dozen farmsteads--some seeing significant to "total loss" type of damage. A grainery was also badly damaged. There are also reports of multiple houses with damage as well.
Lots of rain meant the roads were shut down for part of the night.
Fire officials say the tornado warning lasted for three hours, and the actual tornado was very slow moving, sometimes only going two miles per hour.
Weather officials tracked the tornado near Laurel. A second tornado then touched down at the same time near Dixon in Dixon County, about four miles East of the initial twister. This is the second time in days twin tornadoes have touched down at the same time, which weather officials say is extremely rare.
All of this happened about 30 miles north of Pilger, which was demolished by twin tornadoes Monday afternoon.
