The transparent kayak/canoe hybrid can now utilize a gas outboard motor or an electric trolling motor.

Seminole, FL (PRWEB) June 24, 2014

The See Through Canoe company is announcing a motor mount option for its transparent canoe/kayak hybrid. Michael McCarthy, owner of the company, says the motor mount is strong enough to handle an electric trolling motor or a small gas powered outboard engine. The ability to add a motor makes this kayak/canoe the most functional, all purpose canoe on the market, McCarthy says. Aside from being able to use it as a traditional canoe, its stable and can be used in the same manner as a stand-up paddleboard (SUP).

An avid fisherman himself, the company owner also explains the ability to stand up while fishing or paddling gives a better perspective to see all manner of aquatic life without disturbing them. I sneak right up on redfish, snook and other species since the canoe is clear and casts no shadow.

McCarthy says that one of the most interesting things he has noticed, is that both dolphin and manatee seem very curious about the canoe. "Most of the time that I see manatee, I have found that if I keep a respectful distance of about 50 feet, the manatee will eventually come over to check me out and will often interact with me by swimming around the canoe in circles, bumping it gently, or just following me within a few feet. The dolphin I encounter are not as consistently curious as the manatee, but they still swim over to get a closer look at me regularly."

See Through Canoe has added a Places to go canoeing in Florida section to the website. Here you can find pictures, videos, and relevant details about Floridas beautiful lakes, rivers, bayous, beaches, and bays. Maps and details about new and little known canoe and kayak trails can also be found on the site. If youre looking for somewhere to rent a canoe, the site also has a section to help people find businesses that rent canoes or kayaks.
