A new candidate for the U.S. Senate is throwing his hat in the ring. Jim Jenkins announced his candidacy today, but he's not running with a party. By law, Jenkins had to gather at least four thousand signatures to get on the November ballot. Today he turned in about six thousand.
"My resume is Nebraska through and through, agriculture, small business and community service. We can do better, we owe it to ourselves to work in a more democratic fashion," Jenkins said.
Jenkins joins republican candidate Ben Sasse and democratic candidate Dave Domina for the U.S. Senate seat.
