Was it political satire or racism?

A Fourth of July parade float in Norfolk has drawn controversy from across the country.

The float, a wooden outhouse labeled "Obama presidential library" features a zombie-like figure in overalls standing outside.

Many, including the Nebraska Democratic Party say it's offensive and disrespectful to the president.

Monday, the float's creator said it was not intended to be racist and the figure is a representation of himself, not U.S. President Barack Obama.

"There is no connotation what so ever that that is a representation of the president.  I think people were, they assumed that that was an error on their part," says Dale Remmich.  The veteran, who made the float, says he did it to express his displeasure with the oversights of the Veteran’s Administration.
