For Lincoln High Seniors Jason Towery and KeShawn Wilson, linking up is nothing new. They've been on the same team since the 5th grade.

“It's really exciting to play with him,” Towery said. “He's a good guy. We gel well together.”

“It's nice. I know how he plays,” Wilson added. “We've been playing with each other for a long time.”

But now, playing this summer on the AAU circuit with Nebraska Bison, the two are teaming up with the best the Cornhusker state has to offer.

“I get to play with new people that I haven't played with yet,” Wilson said. “I have played with most of them but some new kids. It helps me to play with other players and see what they play like.”

This is Wilson's first time with the Red team, the top level in the Bison program.

Towery is on the team for the second straight year.

“Playing on the road helps me a lot,” Towery said. “I've played against different guys, really good guys also and helps me to play better and play harder against these guys. I learn a lot from it.”

And the tandem hopes this experience and their friendship both on and off the court, can lead Lincoln High to State for the 1st time since 2010.

“I think we could still probably get better than we were last year,” said Wilson. “Towards the end of the year, we kind of went downhill, but hopefully this year we can get better.”
