A Lincoln Bar wants to help the tornado-ravaged town of Pilger.  Doc’s Place (140 N. 8th Street) will host a silent art auction Friday (July 11) night.  This is in place of their monthly art show.

The public can bid on art and jewelry donated by more than 30 area artists, as well as gift certificates from area businesses.  The auction items value range from $20-$900.  Cocktail hour begins at 6 p.m. with drink specials and complimentary hors d’oeuvres. Bidding starts at 7 p.m. with winners announced at 9:15 p.m.  Donations will also be accepted, and all funds raised will go to the Pilger Community Development Fund.

The Development Fund had already raised $400,000 dollars.  Just this week they allocated $100,000 dollars for emergency assistance.  For Every Pilger household will receive $1,500 dollars for expenses related to the storm. Much of the money will go towards long term rebuilding efforts.
