Newcomb pleads no contest to manslaughter

A York man, charged with manslaughter pleaded no contest as part of a plea deal in York County Court, Tuesday.
Police say Otis Newcomb hit Aurora teacher, Lauren Akerson, head-on last fall.
31–year–old, Akerson, died at the scene of the accident.
A vodka bottle, with DNA matching Newcomb’s on it, was in a nearby ditch.
A tampering with evidence charge was dropped in the plea deal.
Newcomb will be sentenced August 25th.
