A local soccer organization says it's being bullied.
18 of Sporting LLincoln'sacademy teams, were pulled from the Eastern Nebraska Soccer Association's league schedule by the state association.
According to the coaches, the Nebraska State Soccer Association says they violated team formation rules by holding trials early.
Sporting Lincoln says their academy league doesn't cut players, so tryout rules don't apply to them.
Executive Director of Sporting Lincoln, Andrew Ferguson, says the state association will not give them a full explanation and if there is an issue, he wishes they would punish coaches instead of the kids.
Ferguson says, "Get the kids on the field; we can discuss any differences in the next three to four months…we can sort it while they're playing."
The ultimate goal is to resolve this issue but if they don't, this does not ruin the Academy Teams seasons.
They will still play friend leagues and tournaments.
Currently, if you call the Nebraska State Soccer Association, their voicemail says they will not return calls to anyone from Sporting Lincoln.
