UPDATED INFO: The Saunders County Sheriff's Office says 50-year-old Steven J. Jedlicka of Schuyler was killed in the Thursday morning accident near Valparaiso. The sheriff says Jedlicka was driving the pickup when it crashed into an East Butler School bus. They say the pickup rolled and Jedlicka was ejected. Two passengers in the pickup were seriously injured. All three were taken to Bryan West in Lincoln. Jedlicka was pronounced dead at the hospital. The names of the two passengers are not being released at this time. None of the eleven students in the bus or the bus driver were seriously injured. They were taken to the Butler County Health Care Center and the Saunders Medical Center as a precaution. The Nebraska State Patrol is assisting with the investigation.

VALPARAISO, Neb. (AP) _ The Saunders County Sheriff says the driver of the pickup in a morning crash involving a school bus has died. The sheriff says several children suffered minor injuries in the collision between their school bus and the pickup in eastern Nebraska's Saunders County. The pickup driver, a Colfax County man, was flown by helicopter to the hospital. His identity has not yet been released.

Sheriff Kevin Stukenholtz says the accident happened around 7:30 a.m. Thursday near the intersection of county roads H and 29. That's about six miles north-northwest of Valparaiso.

The sheriff says the bus was carrying children from East Butler Public Schools.
