Dozens of motorcycle riders went cruising for a good cause.
The Reguladores Motorcycle Club held their fifth annual Kickstands Up for Kids event Saturday. Each year, the charity ride raises close to $10,000 to benefit the Child Advocacy Center, which provides support to abused children in southeastern Nebraska.
Most of the club members are active or retired police officers, and say they work with the center almost every day.
"It's a child friendly, safe location where interviews can be conducted, medical examinations for abused children," Organizer and Reguladores president Conan Schafer said, "terrible thing that we have to have but what a great organization and we felt it was a good cause."
Participants will ride through Seward, Brainard and Davey, and end at The Alley downtown bar. There will be live music, a silent auction and raffle prizes.
