One local business did more than just dump a little bucket of ice over their heads.

"We were nominated by Ace Hardware to do the ice bucket challenge, well we're going to do the ice loader challenge," Keith Dragoo with the Sapp Bros. Travel Center said.

13 employees at the Travel Center near 60th and Cornhusker Highway had a front loader dump more than 75 gallons of ice water on them.

It was, of course, to raise awareness for ALS.

"Go big or go home," Cashier Jensyn Clark said. Clark says it was her manager's idea to take the challenge up a notch.

"She wanted to do something kinda different, so instead of us dumping buckets of ice, we got a front loader to do it," Clark said.

Employees raised around $500, which will be matched penny for penny by Sapp Bros.

Nationwide, the ice bucket challenge topped the $100 million mark. That compares to just $3 million over the same time period last year.
