Officials say a barn that caught fire around 1:30 a.m. Monday is a complete loss.

They say no one was inside at the time and there weren't any valuables in the barn.

Fire officials estimate the blaze caused about $10,000 worth of damage. They say it could have been worse but luckily the wet ground prevented the fire from spreading.

"Everything is wet out here, the grass is wet around it and there's no other buildings within 100 feet of the structure," Chief Jon Propst, Tamora Volunteer Fire Dept., said.

"I could see it from one of the windows down the hall and I didn't know what was going on I could just see the orange glow and it was just all up in flames, it was really terrifying," Valeria Sigala, Seward, said.

Fire investigators are still trying to figure out what started the blaze.

The barn was part of a turkey farm.
