A McCook man is in custody after police said he solicited sex online from two Lincoln minors.

31–year–old Adam Brunswick was arrested for two counts of first degree sexual assault and electronic child enticement.

Police said in May, two 15–year–old girls from Lincoln met Brunswick on They said Brunswick and the girls exchanged phone numbers and kept in touch through text messaging.

According to police, last summer, the girls agreed to meet Brunswick at Ballard Park in northeast Lincoln. They said the two performed sex acts on Brunswick in exchange for cigarettes.

One of the girls told her mother, who then called police.

"I encourage all parents to have discussions with your children about the dangers of meeting strangers online and basic internet safety," Ofc. Katie Flood said. "These talks can be uncomfortable, but I guarantee they're less uncomfortable than the talks you'll have after a crime like this."

Police said there were talks among the girls and Brunswick to meet again to perform sex acts for money, but that didn't happen.

Authorities said Brunswick claimed to be in his twenties, and the girls portrayed themselves as being 18. But police said Brunswick indicated he knew they were younger.

He's lodged at the county jail.
