McKenna Bancroft is one of the fifteen students from Lincoln Southeast High School gathered in the airport to catch their flight to Washington D.C.

The students are competing as state finalist in a national mock trail competition.

"The judges are very high level people within the academic field. They are professor, lawyers, they have a strong background" said Zachary Wojtowicz

McKenna did not expect her class to make it to finals, but they're doing all they can to prepare before they take off.

"We didn't know were going to do this poorly, but we ended up winning. Which everyone was shocked" she says.

Many of her friends helped and supported her while competing in a local level, but there is one friend she want to give a big thank you to, and that is the internet seraph engine Google.

Her teacher is confident the students will do good in the finals, because they won the competition in 1989.

He also believes Nebraska students always do well, because of a strong tradition.
