The Nebraska Democratic Committee is hosting two events in Omaha to rally support for its candidates in the final weeks before the Nov. 8 general election.

The party's nationwide ``Forward Together'' bus tour is stopping in Omaha Sunday for voter registration and grassroots events. Speakers at the north Omaha registration event include Nebraska state Sens. Tanya Cook and Burke Harr, County Commissioner Chris Rogers and Douglas County Treasurer John Ewing.

The grassroots event will feature local candidates and DNC officials. Former U.S. Sen. Ben Nelson is also joining the bus tour.

The north Omaha event runs from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m., while the grassroots event runs from 2:15 p.m. to 3 p.m.

    POSTED BY:  Channel 8 Eyewitness News 8@klkntv.com Husker wide receiver Stanley Morgan Junior was arrested in Florida on felony drug charges.  According to a police report, Morgan was arrested after a traffic stop May 6th.  Morgan was in possession of 21.4 grams of cannabis.  Another Husker, Antonio Reed, and a woman were in the vehicle but were not arrested.  "Head Coach Mike Riley and the Athletic Department are aware of the recent incident ...
