Prosecutors have filed charges against 38-year-old Floyd Coleman for raping and impregnating a 13-year-old girl.

According to court documents, in 2013 the victim told investigators she met the man when she was 12-year-old. During the interview she told officers the man got her drunk and had sex with her. The teen later ended the pregnancy. She would not tell officers who the man was initially, but in 2016 she told them the man who raped her reached out to her on Facebook and they were able to find Coleman.

Officers say Coleman denied having sex with the teen and provided a DNA sample. After testing it, Police determined Coleman was likely responsible for the rape.

This week prosecutors charged him with First Degree Sexual Assault of a Child.
