It's an event and the unveiling of a documentary that will be sure to bring together friends and family. This Thursday is the premier of a new documentary that follows Jesse Boyce, a music producer from Nashville that is dealing with stage 4 prostate cancer.

"The central concept for the film is the question how do we extend the concept of healing beyond the physical," says Dr. Mark Stavas the Director and Producer of the documentary.

The film is called Intentional Healing, and the producer, who is from right here in Lincoln, hopes it will help comfort people fighting cancer, and shed a light on the disease

"I think what we hope the film can do for people is spark a conversation and show rather than tell what life looks like with a disease," added Dr. Stavas.

The unveiling of this documentary will be at the Fire Fighters Union Hall on Thursday night, all of the money raised will go to multiple charities here in Lincoln, but there are even more reasons to come to the showing.

"Great food, there's going to be a great film and a good time for us to bring the community together to talk about some resources that are available for cancer patients and to help everyone fight this battle of cancer," said Ron Trouba the President of the Lincoln Fire Fighters Association.

Again the event is this Thursday evening, and for more information you can go to https://www.leadingcancercare.com/event/heroes-against-cancer-2/ to grab your seat for the film.
