4 Arrested In Chop Shop Scam

The Lincoln Police department has arrested four people in a chop shop investigation.

Officer Katie Flood with the Lincoln Police Department says they were able to track stolen Ford F–350 trucks back to Kustom Body Shop on West O Street.

Police say they were able to follow a paper trail back to the shop after suspects used pre-paid Visa cards that were left in the stolen vehicles.

Officer Flood says, “Dismantled parts of vehicles were found in the shop. The vehicle identification number on those vehicles had been removed.”

Four people including the owner of the shop were arrested.

The investigation is over and pieces and parts of both stolen vehicles have been recovered.
