5 teens hospitalized after rollover accident
Lincoln police say all five girls are expected to survive Wednesday night's accident.
Police say at around 8:30 p.m. Wednesday on Hwy 34 and NW 27th, a 17-year-old girl lost control of the SUV she was driving. Police says one of the 14-year-old passengers had grabbed the steering wheel, causing the driver to lose control and over correct. Police say the SUV rolled two times before coming to a stop on its tires.
One passenger was taken by helicopter to BryanLGH West, where she was in serious condition. Police say she was thrown from the SUV. Police say 3 other passengers, all 14-year-old girls were also taken to the hospital by ambulance, but their injuries are minor. The driver also suffered minor injuries.
