69th anniversary of Pearl Harbor bombing
Tuesday marked the 69th anniversary of the attack on Pearl Harbor.
In Lincoln, several veterans gathered to remember the day at the Auld Recreational Center.
Veterans from all wars paid tribute to the historical significance of the date and also recognize those who paid the ultimate sacrifice.
The event included a keynote speech by the director of Veteran's Affairs as well as several hymns and stories from the past.
Director of the Veteran's Garden, Keith Fickenscher was there and says, “It's very significant and it reminds us of the necessity of being prepared and always ready to defend our freedoms.”
