A Football Injury Leaves A Nebraska High School Student In Critical Condition
A North Platte football player is still in critical condition after getting injured during his team's homecoming game. Running back, David Huebner, went to the sideline, vomitting and complaining of a head injury. Heubner was then taken to a local hospital where a cat scan showed a large blood clot on the 17-year-old's brain. He was flown to Good Samaritan hospital in Kearney, where he had surgery to remove the clot. Huebner is the second Nebraska high school football player to suffer a serious head injury. Lincoln East player, Brady Beran, was injured during a game about two weeks ago. He remains in critical condition at Bryan LGH West.
