A New Study Is Being Conducted In Lincoln Dealing With OSTEOPOROSIS
In health news hundreds of Nebraska women are taking part in a study. It's aimed at helping Breast Cancer patients to avoid becoming victims of Osteoporosis. The study involves more than 270 women from across the state. Participants receive various tests, medication and suppliments free of charge. They also recieve a strength training program to study the effects excercise can have in fighting Osteoporosis. Lincoln native Carol Epp is currently involved in the study, and is very optomistic about it's results. The five year study will continue through 2007 and more participants are needed. However, you must apply by the end of July 2004. For more information, call the U-N-C-C College of nursing at 472-7366, and ask for Rita.
