ABC News coverage of Conclave starts Tuesday

Posted by: Newsroom

ABC News will air a special report around 10:30 am Tuesday when the conclave begins, following a special morning Mass from St. Peter's Basilica. This report will air live to the full Network and be anchored by Diane Sawyer from Rome, Italy. We anticipate the length of this report to be approximately one hour.

ABC News will provide subsequent special reports every occasion smoke originates from the Sistine Chapel indicating a vote has occurred. If the smoke is black (indicating a new Pope HAS NOT been elected), the reports will air for approximately 5 to 10 minutes.
