All NU assistants but Downing get at least 2-year deals

(Lincoln-AP) — All but one of Nebraska football coach Bill
Callahan's assistants are under contract for at least two years.
Holdover recruiting coordinator Scott Downing continues to work
under his previous contract, which expires six months before that
of anybody else on the staff.
Contract information was released Friday by the
university.
Nebraska is paying a combined 265-thousand dollars more a year
to its football assistants than it did to coaches under Frank
Solich.
Defensive coordinator Kevin Cosgrove and offensive coordinator
Jay Norvell are the highest-paid assistants, with salaries of
200-thousand dollars. Former defensive coordinator Bo Pelini was
paid the same.
