An Arrest In The Case Involving A Lincoln Mother Who Was Murdered

Lincoln police are coming one step closer in solving the mystery of who killed a mother of two in her own home. Aurora Castillo Murrillo was killed on July 13th. And now, a Chicago man has been arrested for the murder. According to court documents, 26 year-old Rosalio Banuelos admitted to knocking Murrillo unconscious and cutting her throat. Police say Banuelos came to Lincoln from Chicago to track down his wife. His wife was staying with Murrillo here on Northwest First Street where Murrillo was found dead. The suspects wife was Murrillo's aunt.  Banuelos remains behind bars in Chicago and Lincoln authorities are in the process of extradicting him back to Lancaster County. He was arrested on several warrants but he hasn't been officially charged with Murillo's death.
