An Omaha Teen has Plead Guilty to Overpass Death
A teen has pleaded guilty to the July death of an Iowa woman killed when a landscaping stone thrown from an overpass hit her car. 18-year-old Eric Warbelton pleaded guilty to manslaughter in a court hearing Friday. 34-year-old Michelle Fergus was on her way to work July 1st on Interstate 680 when a more than 20-pound stone was thrown off the Sprague Street bridge in Omaha. The stone went through the windshield of the car she was riding in and hit her in the chest. Tips received in late November led investigators to a group of teenagers on the bridge. Warbelton faces up to 20 years in prison when he is sentenced in May.
