Apartment Fire Displaces One Resident

Lincoln Fire and Rescue says the blaze began just before 6:00 Saturday morning on the third floor balcony of this apartment complex at 56th and Cleveland. They say the fire jumped to the second floor of the building. They say it started because of an improperly discarded cigarette. Luckily no one was hurt, but one person who lives on the third floor had to be relocated. Officials say damage is around 40–thousand dollars.
