Aurora Fire Suspects Charged

Work to clear what's left of a 103-year-old historic building in Aurora started today.

It comes after 2 Aurora teenagers are charged with intentionally setting the vacant building on fire.

The two teens are in some major trouble, after confessing to setting the historic Fidelity building on fire.

Now it seems the community is paying the price for the teenagers' big mistake.

Juvenile court documents say two teenage boys have been charged with intentionally setting fire to the building, leaving the $87,000 structure a total loss.

Both juveniles have been charged with something equivalent to second-degree arson in adult criminal court.

Residents we spoke with say the families of the boys responsible are good people, but the teens should have known better.

Aurora residents say the building wasn't properly maintained and has been vacant for a long period of time.
