Beatrice High School wins education grant
Beatrice High School has won a four-year grant to help raise the percentage of its graduates who continue on to college.
The $15,000-a-year grant was awarded by EducationQuest, which is an education planning organization. About 65 percent of students enroll in two-year or four-year colleges or trade schools after graduating from Beatrice High School.
Principal Jason Sutter says he hopes the grant will help students realize there are educational opportunities awaiting them after high school, even if they decide not to pursue them.
