Bittersweet Day For Gordon

On a day when the Nebraska baseball team officially found out their season was done, sophomore 3rd baseman Alex Gordon received yet another honor.  It wasn't much of a surprise that the Huskers did not make the field of 64 on the Road to Omaha.

This is the first time since 1998 Nebraska has not made a regional.  But it might have been a little surprising that Gordon won the Big 12 Player of the Year award.  Only a sophomore, Gordon is the third consecutive Husker to win the award following Matt Hopper and Jed Morris.
