Boating Accident Injures Two People

A boating accident Sunday night at Branched Oak Lake, just Northwest of Lincoln, left two people injured.    It's just another reminder, of the need to stay safe, on the water, this Fourth of July weekend.

What caused the accident is still under investigation, but Game and Parks says it has a lot to do with people not paying close enough attention to their surroundings.

A family of six were boating out in the middle of Branched Oak Lake.    Around six Sunday, one younger family member was riding their jet ski when they somehow lost control, colliding with a boat.

Two people in the boat were injured in the accident.    One woman has an apparent broken leg and an infant suffered an injured lip.  They were both transported to the hospital.
