Car Accident Victim Wants to Visit all Continental Capitals

Victims of a car accident came to Lincoln Wednesday to raise money for a good cause.

10-year-old Garrett Burgess and his dad, Benton, are from Massachusetts. They were in a bad car accident about six years ago. Because of that, Garrett is now paralyzed. Now, they're flying to capital cities throughout the nation, except Honolulu, to raise awareness and money for spinal cord research.

Lincoln is their 26th stop. Garrett says the trip started with a fourth grade project to learn all the state's capitals, starting with Pierre, South Dakota.

You can follow their trip and learn about each stop by logging onto www.nesci.us

All proceeds will go to help fund spinal cord research.
